One of the reasons I didn't go into Sofia's politics is that I didn't want people to think I was speaking allegorically about current politics. I don't want to do that because it's a contentious subject and because everything I have to say has already been said many better ways. The other reason I didn't go into Sofia's politics is because the strip is set in a vaudeville theatre.

At this point, she's just messing with him, trying to recapture the playfulness of the early days before things got complicated in the Kiranga story
